The WOPS are the Waterloo Old Players and Supporters. (open to anyone)
We meet once each month for a pre-match lunch at the club. (There is also a pre-match lunch before all games, though only one a month are WOPS lunches)
The WOPS are basically Waterloo supporters but the fact that they include ex-players too makes it a special bunch of people. Each lunch is filled with fun and friendship and there’s lots of reminiscing that takes place.
New supporters are also welcome to join - the meals are great and there’s a truly convivial atmosphere.
It is £5 per year to join the WOPS club. You will receive a membership card with all the lunch dates printed on, and this year, they will receive a small pin badge to proudly wear on their t shirt, dress, jumper, blazer, bag or wherever they wish to display their support.
People are kept in the loop with regular email invitations to lunches and other Club events too.
On occasions WOPS away days are organised when a coach is hired and we all travel together to a big game. This depends on cup runs etc.
The October date clashes with the Derby between Liverpool and Everton so we will have the screen down and game on in the Waterloo Room that day for those of you that want the best of both!
We do have WOPS ties available but as they’re not worn by many these days we have chosen the small badges as an alternative.
Hoping we boost the membership and it goes up from the we had 34 last season.
