We extend a warm welcome to our rugby playing opponents

We look forward to our encounter and are delighted to welcome you to The Memorial Ground.  We hope that this sheet both helps you to find us and to enjoy your time with us.

How to find us        Sat Nav L23 8TW  The Memorial Ground, St Anthony’s Road, Blundellsands, Liverpool

Below is a map to direct you from the M57 and M58.  From the motorway follow A5758 and then signs for Crosby at the first roundabout.  When you come to the next roundabout, take the 4th exit and at the bottom of Oaklands Drive turn left then first right into St Michael’s Road.  Second left at the final roundabout just after the school and look for a parking space around St Michael’s church that you will see on the right.  Walk down the continuation of St Michael’s Road and The Memorial ground is at the end of the road.  When parking, we ask that you do not block access to our neighbours’ drives.  Thank you.

Telephone          0151 924 4552

Email       (If you have played us previously you may hold the email address that starts admin@waterloo. . .   Please                                  delete this address as it is no longer valid.)

Other information

The match day entrance fee is £5.00

Our caterers, Gillions of Crosby always prepare a lunch before first team games.  If you wish to book a place, please email Raychel Strefford at by lunchtime on the Thursday before the game with your re-payment.  Gillions will also do coffee and snacks during the game, served from a hatch under the International room.

Dogs are welcome to The Memorial Ground, subject to our policy.  On busy match days when the bars are packed all we ask is for you to keep dogs outside, principally for their safety.  If matches are played on other sites which Firwood Waterloo Rugby Club does not own, for example Hall Road, dogs are not permitted.

Local attractions.  If you arrive early, why not take the detour (see the map above) and see Little Crosby, or drive past the golf club to the coast and visit Anthony Gormley’s ‘Another Place’ to see the iron men statues (parking charges apply).  The ‘men’ are not visible at high tide, so you can check the tides by clicking here
