I start, as seems usual, with an apology.

Some may be grateful, but time is tighter than usual and this note is shorter than usual. The reasons you can only imagine, but sorting out hair and nails and outfits for Disco Bingo and then a Ball brings a whole new set of demands on your time.

I hope that those attending both events are not too disappointed if the makeover does not come off, but hope that you are looking forward to coming to one or both events.

On the starting up again, I was told by Gill Burns that the Women have started their pre-season preparations.  The Men, a little more traditional, formally start in the first week of July, but the gym is seeing a fair bit of activity . . . so I am told.  If you want to join in please contact the Club, or catch up with Christine Braithwaite or Dom Mackenzie.

I think, but you should check before you go, that the Men's Sevens squad are heading for the Skofic Sevens this Saturday.  If correct, it would be nice to see them return to the Ball with a trophy, but more importantly to hear that they had an enjoyable afternoon.

Otherwise, you will have seen the notes on the website asking if there are any businesses looking at sponsorship opportunities.  We are a well-supported Club; the Women's team have a National profile and the Club wishes to continue to raise its profile through all age groups in the community.  As well as sponsorship, ideas as to how we can do this are always appreciated.

Talking of image, can I mention the "workforce day" on 22nd June where we will look to get together and give the premises a bit of a freshen-up using the money allocated by NatWest.

Apologies now, my next planning meeting is due.  Hope to see you at the weekend but if not have a great time.
