You may have seen the French great, Serge Betson as part of ITV’s coverage of Le Crunch (quelle domage to the French by the way).

But Serge has a poignant connection with our club going back a few years.  So we thought that on the back of a brilliant England v France International at Twickenham on Saturday 13th March, we would remember September 2017.

Firwood Waterloo u16s  were invited to represent Lancashire and England at the opening of World Rugby’s Memorial in Laon to those who fought on all sides in the Great War of 1914-1918.

Pictured over the 4 Day Festival combining education remembrance and sport is our very own M/J Coach Chris Almond along with the French legend.  Serge Betsen played for the French Legends XV against the Rugby 4 Heroes Charity XV on the Friday evening.  The programme shows the daily events and it also featured a page on our club.
