More to add to those in exalted company from our club.

Longstanding member Dr Jeremy Swinson also spotted the list of rugby players who had received honours. However, he is quick to point out that the list missed out our own Dick Greenwood who was awarded, rather belatedly, an OBE for services to rugby a couple of years ago.

Dick also shares with Martin Johnson the distinction of being the only man to both captain and coach England.

Apart from Gill and Dick, four former Waterloo players, Will Greenwood, Ben Kay, Paul Grayson and Kyran Bracken were all awarded an MBE as part of the victorious World Cup in 2003 squad.  Taken together, are we the most honoured rugby union club in the country?
